Paul Franson 

Paul Franson is a free-lance writer specializing in wine, travel and food as well as Wine Country living. 

He contributed a weekly column on Napa Valley to the Napa Valley Register for 11 years and now publishes NapaLife, a weekly newsletter, as well as writing for Wine Business Monthly, Wines and Vines, Senior Connection and other publications.

 

Franson has written for the Wine Enthusiast, Decanter, Senior Connections, Vineyard & Winery Management., Food & Wine, the San Francisco Chronicle, Appellation Wine Country Living, Napa Sonoma, Napa Valley Life and the Reno Gazette Journal as well as other publications.

His book, High Tech, High Hope, was published in 1998 by Upside/John Wiley and more recently, he published Spinning the Bottle about publicizing and marketing wine.

He was previously a trade and business magazine reporter and editor, and worked in corporate and agency public relations, having founded Franson, Hagerty & Associates, one of Silicon Valley's most prominent public relations agencies in the 1980's. He has been free-lance writing since 1995.
